Dice and Destiny

Last summer we were contacted to help complete the renovation of the new Dice and Destiny shop in Canterbury.

Working alongside other contractors to complete this project in a short space of time we were given the task of completing the floors throughout the property as well as completing the actual shop fit out.

Throughout the upstairs of the property, due to the age of the existing floor joists, Luxury vinyl tiles were considered the best option due to their durability as well as flexibility which would enable the panels to roll and bend with the bumps.

After making the required structural repairs to any old joists, broken floorboards and reinforcing the old staircase, Regency Flooring was contacted by us to help complete the works. This included over boarding throughout the upstairs with ply before installing the required LVT. Their involvement allowed us to concentrate on the downstairs.

Downstairs again included regulating floor levels, before over boarding and backer boarding where required as part of our preparation for tiling. Matching the oak effect style LVT upstairs, we used porcelain oak effect tiles throughout the downstairs. Once the tiles were down and the walls were decorated, we began completing the shop fit-out. This included forming some built in cupboard space in various alcoves, installing industrial style pipe shelving in the two main shop areas, as well as the forming of a bespoke front desk, with a lockable glass cabinet to store more expensive stock.

Working alongside so many other trades and towards a deadline this project required grit and determination as well as continued communication, when considering the standard of outcome its clear to see the project was a success, a credit to all who worked on it.

Make sure to visit the shop for all your tabletop gaming needs and to see the shelves bursting with stock!
